1994 was the year that WCW aggressively went after WWE.  While Vince McMahon and his company were dealing with a federal lawsuit for steroids distribution, Ted Turner opened his wallet for Eric Bischoff who made a deal with Vince's biggest star, Hulk Hogan.  Hogan's arrival led to a slew of former WWE stars signing with the company.
