Tiger Woods picked up PGA Championship victory No. 3 on the No. 3 Course at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago.

Woods began the final round tied with Luke Donald. But paired with Woods in the final grouping during Round 4, Donald couldn't get his game going on Sunday. The Briton wound up shooting 74 in the final round to Woods' 68.

No one else was able to mount a charge in the final round, either, and Woods finished with a five-stroke victory.

Woods was tied for 10th place after the first round and fifth place after the second round. In the third round Woods' 65 was the low score of the day, moving him into the tie with Donald atop the leaderboard.

For Woods, it was his second PGA Championship win at Medinah, and his 12th overall victory in a major. It was also his second major win of 2006, and he won two majors in 2005, too. Woods thus became the first golfer of all-time to win at least two majors in two consecutive years.

Nick Price, winner of the 1992 PGA Championship and 1994 PGA Championship, played this major for the final time in 2006, missing the cut.
