Andrews University Admissions Overview:

Andrews admits around one-third of students who apply. In order to be considered for admittance, applicants must have a high school GPA of 2.50 (on the 4.0 scale). To apply, students need to submit an application, a high school transcript, and test scores from either the SAT or ACT. While both tests are accepted, slightly more students submit ACT scores than SAT scores.

Applicants also need to submit two letter of recommendation. Students can apply for both the fall and spring semesters. Students are encouraged to visit Andrews University, to explore the campus and discover if the school is the right fit for them.

Andrews University Description:

Andrews University sits on a large 1,600-acre tree-filled campus near the small village of Berrien Springs, Michigan. Andrews has been affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church since its founding in 1874, and faith remains central to the student experience.

The school's motto captures this idea: "Seek knowledge. Affirm faith. Change the world." Undergraduates can choose from about 130 programs of study, and the school has an impressive 9 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Popular areas of study include physical therapy, business administration, biology, music, general studies, and nursing.

Study abroad is encouraged at Andrews, and the school is highly regarded for its diverse and international student population. Outside of the classroom, students can join a number of clubs and organizations, ranging from intramural sports, performing arts groups, and religious activities. Andrews University is a member of the USCAA (United State Collegiate Athletic Association), and the Cardinals compete in both men's and women's basketball and soccer.
