Discussion of Andrews University's Admissions Standards:

Andrews University attracts relatively strong students, and well over a half of all applicants will not get in. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who won admission. Most had SAT scores (RW + M) of 950 or higher, an ACT composite of 18 or higher, and a high school average of a "B" or better (in 2016, students must have a minimum 2.50 GPA, 20 ACT composite or 1020 SAT (RW+M) to enter in good standing under regular admission). Grades and test scores above these lower ranges will improve your chances, and you can see that a significant percentage of admitted students had grades in the "A" range.

You'll notice that a few students were accepted with test scores and grades a bit below the norm. This is because Andrews University has holistic admissions and makes decisions based on more than numbers. The Andrews University admissions folks will look at factors such as your extracurricular activities and your letters of recommendation in an effort to get a more complete picture of your character and potential for success. Also, Andrews University like all selective schools takes into consideration the rigor of your high school courses, not just your grades.
