Aquarius Moon - Moon Signs

Aquarius Moon guys and gals give their friends a lot of breathing room. They also expect a lot of space, as they are emotional free agents in the galaxy.

Many are very compassionate, but it's displayed toward the group or humanity.  They are nurtured around bright minds, and especially those with wild or unusual ideas.

The Aquarius Moons I know are avid readers, and I wonder if it's their way of finding space.  They need lots of space.

Astrologer Per Henrick Gullfoss has this to say about air Moons, which is true of Aquarians in general.  "There is a vital need for emptiness in the form of pauses and periods of emotional silence.  Also, it is a very fast Moon; it reflects the energy that comes along in almost no time.  The empty space is necessary for the digestion process."

Aqua Moons need time alone to freshen the air and find their clarity in deep solitude.

Tethered to a Distant Galaxy

Moon Aquarius people are in essence, eccentric loners, but this might not be obvious until you know them better.  Having the soul (Moon) of Aquarius means being receptive to fast, "out there" frequencies. Aqua Moon signs like to be alone, to decipher what they're picking up, and to find a way to "translate" it into earthly life.

Those with the Moon in Aquarius seem to have access to the mysteries of the universe through their inner lives. It’s as if they know something the rest of us don’t. There’s an emotionally detached quality to them that gives them a cool head in times of crisis but can also make them seem as remote as a distant galaxy.

This is especially true for the first two decans of Aquarius, writes astrologer Keven Burk. This is from his book, Understanding the Birth Chart:

"The Moon in Aquarius can nurture the group, support the cause, and give of itself in abstract ways; but for the first 20 of Aquarius the Moon in Aquarius is peregrine and must go in search of the true meaning of compassion -- that which comes as much from the heart as it comes from the head."

A Friend to Many

Aquarius is a sign known to soothe the mentally taxed, and that makes their presence soothing in an anxious time like ours. Aqua Moon people instinctively accept all kinds of responses, behaviors, lifestyles. They have a live and let live philosophy that earns the trust of a wide spectrum of people.

They’re notable humanitarians, always trying to reach out to the masses through art, science or a cause. This makes them more oriented toward groups in general, and less comfortable with the intimate one on one. Their orientation toward the collective “all of us” makes it hard for them to isolate their own unique emotional reality. To put it more simply, many Aquarius Moons don’t know how they feel much of the time.

The Moon in Aquarius comes up with the grand ideas but can have a hard time with the nuts and bolts. Some may find the mundane challenges of daily life, such as paying bills or doing the dishes, to be a herculean struggle. When feeling insecure, they may hide behind a veil of aloofness and try to blend in with the multitudes. Some find connection by simply sitting alone in a public place, such as a coffee shop.

You’ll likely find that no matter what you say, you’re not likely to find disapproval from an Aquarius Moon. This is why they’re sought out by people living on the fringes of society, and are known for being able to soothe the mentally unstable. They’re great and interesting friends, with a wholly unique wit and set of opinions.

In romance, it may be hard for the self-contained Aquarius Moon to ever completely merge. They’re happy to stick with a romantic friendship, and many of them find partnership later in life. A need for personal freedom keeps them from making ties that feel controlling or limiting in any way. They’ll thrive with a mate that is also taking the road less traveled and simply wants to include them in the curious experiment of life along the way.
