Discussion of Asbury University's Admissions Standards: Asbury University has moderately selective admissions, and over one out of every three applicants will not get in. Successful applicants tend to have grades and standardized test scores that are above average. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who were admitted. Most had SAT scores of 950 or higher (RW + M), an ACT composite of 18 or higher, and a high school average of a "B" or better. Note that many accepted students had grades up in the "A" range. Although the scattergram has limited data, you'll notice a couple red dots (rejected students) mixed in with the green and blue. This is because Asbury University has holistic admissions and its admissions process considers factors in addition to numerical data. The Asbury application asks about extracurricular activities including sports and music, and applicants also need to write a short personal statement about their personal relationship (or lack of relationship) with Jesus Christ. Applicants can further strengthen their applications by including a "Christian Character Reference."
