Established in 1919, Babson College is a private business college located in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Wellesley College and Olin College are nearby, and students will find over 30 other four-year colleges in the Boston area.

Babson has a student body of about 3,000 with graduate and undergraduate students. This college has won many awards for its inventive and hands-on business education programs, including a year-long course for new students where they design, launch, and liquidate their own business. Babson’s success with business programs have made it one of the best entrepreneurship schools in the country.

Tomasso Hall is one of the most iconic buildings on campus. It holds faculty offices and classrooms, and it houses some of Babson’s top programs. Here, students can participate in the first-year course Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship and the Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program.

Muster Hall and the Lunder Undergraduate Admission Center

One of the first places many people visit on the Babson campus is Mustard Hall. It houses the Lunder Undergraduate Admission Center, where prospective students can talk to people who work on campus including admission counselors, sign up for a tour, or just get more information about the college. Guests can also participate in an undergraduate admission information session to learn anything they want to know about Babson College.

The Webster Center at Babson College

The Webster Center is full of athletic venues and activities for students. It is the home of the Morse Swimming Center, Lunder Fitness Center, PepsiCo Pavilion, Chandor Dance Studio, and the 650-seat Staake Gymnasium. It also has racquetball courts, squash courts, an indoor track, and a varsity weight room. The Morse Swimming Center is used both by Babson Students and by the men’s and women’s swimming and diving team, and it features two diving boards and an electronic scoreboard.

Van Winkle Hall at Alfred University

Van Winkle Hall is a residence hall located next to Babson’s athletic fields. It has general housing for all class years and special interest housing, including the Healthy Living Tower, Entrepreneurial Tower, and Women Giving Back. Van Winkle Hall is air conditioned, and it has laundry facilities, a common kitchen, and vending machines. Students in this hall can live in single or double rooms.

The Babson Globe

The Babson Globe is not only an attention-grabbing piece of campus artwork, it is also one the biggest free standing globes in the world. The globe was dedicated in 1955 and then refurbished and rededicated in 1993. The huge art piece measures 28 feet in diameter and weighs 25 tons, and it also was once able to rotate on an axis. You can see the Babson Globe with a self-guided tour during daylight hours.

The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship was dedicated in 1998, and it provides space for many of Babson’s entrepreneurship programs and centers. In the Blank Center, students can find offices and space for research, as well as headquarters for several student organizations. The center holds the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership, and more.

The Donald W. Reynolds Campus Center provides Babson students with a variety of services. In addition to the bookstore, the campus center has a Café, ATM, Resource Room, mail room, and lockers for commuting students. It also has important offices, including the Sustainability Office, Canon Satellite Office, and Student Affairs Office. For fun, the center provides space for meetings, vendor carts, lounges, a game room, and a Dunkin’ Donuts.

The Babson College Bookstore

The Babson College Bookstore is located in the Reynolds Campus Center, and it holds many things that college students need. Students can buy or rent textbooks and then sell them back at the end of the semester with the textbook buyback program. The bookstore also sells school supplies, computer supplies and electronics, and decorations and amenities for dorm rooms. The bookstore also feature college apparel, including specialty Champion and Under Armor lines.

Horn Library is an essential location for students, both for studying and relaxing. It provides students with access to classrooms, food, and study areas. Horn Library holds the IT Service Department and the Horn Computer Center, the Cutler Center for Investments and Finance, and the Office of the President. It also has Jazzman’s, a coffee shop. Outside the library is the Humphries Plaza, which features the Fountain of Flags.

Alumni Field at Babson College

Alumni Field is home base for the popular and successful Babson softball team. The field was built in 1987, but recent renovations have made it a state-of-the-art playing field that hosted the NCAA Division III Tournament Reginal Championships twice. The field features two dugouts, an 8-foot warning track, bullpen, and a permanent batting cage. Fans can enjoy bleacher seating and a second-story press box. Babson Softball competes in the NCAA Division III NEWMAC Conference.

Bryant Hall is one of Babson’s smaller residence halls, which houses about 45 students. It is located near the college’s West Gate entrance. Students in Bryant Hall can live in single and double rooms, and the double rooms feature private bathrooms and kitchens. The building also has public kitchens, laundry facilities, and a common lounge area on every floor. There is also 24-hour quiet living available for students in Bryant Hall.

Gerber Hall contains faculty offices and classrooms, and it is part of a larger complex of buildings that hold some of the campus’s student resources. It is attached to Horn Library and Babson Hall, which has the Writing Center and Math Resource Center. Gerber Hall is named for the founder of Gerber Baby Food, who is one of Babson’s famous alumni, along with the founders Quiznos and Zumba Fitness.

Carlos J. Mattos Hall is another of Babson’s smaller residence halls, with only 47 students. Mattos Hall is designed to create a welcoming community for first-year students, and the TV lounge in the basement hosts socializing events and study groups. The hall has single, double, and triple rooms, and quad-style living. Mattos has an open kitchen for all the residents.

Most first-year students live in Forest Hall, in single, double, triple, or quad-style rooms. To students immersed in Babson’s business programs, Forest Hall has the Living Entrepreneurship and Living Social Change program. These living-learning communities are a great opportunity for new Babson students to become acquainted with campus and their fellow students. Forest Hall also has a TV lounge for students to relax in.

Students can find many helpful resources in Hollister Hall, including Health Services, Student Financial Services, the Learning Center, the Glavin Office for Multicultural and International Education, the Undergraduate Dean’s Office, and the Registrar. The first floor also houses the Hollister Gallery, where visiting artists can showcase their work. Students can also display their art in the gallery, which features frequent exhibitions.

Luksic Hall houses classrooms and faculty offices for some of Babson’s ten academic divisions. Babson’s most popular major is Business Administration, and some academics divisions that students love are Entrepreneurship, Math and Science, Technology, Operations, and Information Management, Economics, History and Society, and Accounting and Law. Babson’s graduate degrees, offered through the Olin Graduate School, include MBA programs, MSA programs, MSEL programs, and more.

Babson’s Greek Towers, which are located in some of the residence halls, provide special interest housing for some of the college’s fraternities and sororities. Some of Babson’s current Greek Life communities include Kappa Kappa Gamma, Chi Omega, and Sigma Kappa. The Greek Towers are a part of Canfield and Keith Halls, both of which house about 60 students in special interest and general housing.

Malloy Hall is another one of Babson’s academic buildings, housing classrooms and faculty offices. Attached to Malloy Hall is Knight Auditorium, which hosts many campus events. In addition to various campus and faculty parties, reunions, homecomings, and other college functions, the auditorium holds speakers, concerts, and other things for students to enjoy. Malloy Hall is located across from the Webster Center.

Millea Hall is located near the post office and Cruickshank Alumni Hall. Millea holds Babson’s marketing team. Marketing is another important academic division at Babson, and one of the more popular programs. The department of marketing offers undergraduate and graduate programs, and it trains students in public relations, advertising, personal selling and more. Students can also join the Babson Marketing Association for more resources.

Olin Hall is the home of Babson’s many graduate programs. It also has classrooms, student services, and event spaces. The building holds the Lewis Institute for Social Innovation, the Speech Center, and Food Sol. Students can also get food in Olin Hall at Pandini’s, one of Babson’s many dining options. The hall also holds class parties for reunions and other campus events.

Trim Dining Hall is Babson’s main dining location, and it offers sevral different options. Inside Trim Dining Hall is Babson Market, which offers food from the Global Cuisine station and MyZone allergen-free food. Trim also has Bistro1919, which is open after 2:30 pm. Trim Dining Hall also has pizza, flatbread, and a made-to-order deli. The building also houses the Sorenson Family Visual Arts Center.

Glavin Family Chapel at Babson College

The Glavin Family Chapel hosts weekly faith-based events and also serves as a venue for special events. The chapel routinely hosts receptions, brunches, and weddings for the campus community and alumni. It can hold up to 150 people and is furnished with chairs, a table, and podium. The Glavin Family Chapel’s audio system includes a microphone, piano, disk player, and a Rodgers 751 Classic Organ.
