Central to the school's mission is an effort to develop students academically and spiritually so that they can serve Jesus Christ in their lives. The university has over 3,000 students of which roughly 1,000 are traditional college-age undergraduates. Belhaven has adult education centers in Atlanta, Chattanooga, Houston, Jackson, Memphis and Orlando. The main campus in Jackson features a small lake surrounded by walking trails.
