Discussion of Bellarmine University's Admissions Standards:

Bellarmine University has moderately selective admissions, and about one out of every five applicants will not get in. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who were admitted. Most had combined SAT scores of 1000 or higher (RW+M), an ACT composite of 20 or higher, and a high school average of a "B" or higher. A significant number of admitted students had grades up in the "A" range.

Note that there are a few red dots (rejected students) and yellow dots (waitlisted students) mixed in with the green and blue. Some students with grades and test scores that were on target for Bellarmine University did not get get in. Note also that some students were accepted with test scores and grades a bit below the norm. This is because Bellarmine University has holistic admissions and makes decisions based on more than numbers. The Bellarmine University application asks students about awards, work experience, and extracurricular activities, and applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation. Some students are also asked to write an application essay.

You'll also want to focus on taking challenging course, not just getting high grades. Advanced Placement, IB, Honors, and dual enrollment courses can all help demonstrate your college readiness and play a meaningful role in the college admissions process.
