The applicants tend to be strong, and you're going to need good high school grades and standardized test scores to be admitted. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who got in. You can see that the majority of admitted students had high school averages of B+ or higher, ACT composite scores of 21 or higher and combined SAT scores of about 1050 or better (RW+M). Grades and scores above these lower ranges will certainly increase your chances of receiving an acceptance letter.Note that there are a few red dots (rejected students) and yellow dots (waitlisted students) hidden behind the green and blue in the middle of the graph, so not all students with competitive grades and test scores were admitted. Note also that some students were accepted with test scores and grades a little below the norm. This is because Belmont University, like most selective colleges, has a holistic admissions process. Numerical data is just part of the equation. The admissions folks will also want to see a rigorous high school curriculum, meaningful extracurricular activities, a well-crafted personal statement, and a glowing letter of recommendation. Your personal accomplishments can help make up for grades and test scores that are a little below par.To learn more about Belmont University, high school GPAs, SAT scores and ACT scores, these articles can help:Belmont University Admissions ProfileWhat's a Good SAT Score? What's a Good ACT Score? What's Considered a Good Academic Record? What is a Weighted GPA?If You Like Belmont University, You May Also Like These Schools:Sewanee - The University of the South: Profile | GPA-SAT-ACT Graph The University of Alabama: Profile | GPA-SAT-ACT Graph Carson-Newman University: Profile Middle Tennessee State University: Profile Auburn University: Profile | GPA-SAT-ACT Graph Vanderbilt University: Profile | GPA-SAT-ACT Graph Union University: Profile Rhodes College: Profile | GPA-SAT-ACT Graph University of Georgia: Profile | GPA-SAT-ACT Graph Western Kentucky University: Profile | GPA-SAT-ACT Graph Articles Featuring Belmont University:Top Tennessee Colleges and UniversitiesTop South Central Colleges and UniversitiesThe Atlantic Sun Conference citecite this article Format mla apa chicago Your Citation Grove, Allen.
