Speaking about his mother, Billy Graham said, "Of all the people I have ever known, she had the greatest influence on me." As Christians, let us honor and treasure the influence our mothers have had in shaping our lives as believers.

Catholic Online explains that mothers "play a pivotal role throughout the Bible. Without Mary, Mother of God, we would have no Jesus; there would have been no one to accept us as we are and die for our sins." One way to bless your loving mom or godly wife this Mother's Day is to share one of these Bible verses with her.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

Exodus 20:12

Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God will give you.

Psalm 139:13

You created every part of me; you put me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because you are to be feared; all you do is strange and wonderful. I know it with all my heart. When my bones were being formed, carefully put together in my mother's womb, when I was growing there in secret, you knew that I was there—you saw me before I was born.

Proverbs 11:16

A gracious woman gains respect
but ruthless men gain only wealth.

Proverbs 14:1

The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

Proverbs 18:22

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.

Proverbs 31:10-12 and 25-31

A wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

"Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

John 19:25-27

Standing near the cross were Jesus' mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother standing there beside the disciple he loved, he said to her, "Dear woman, here is your son." And he said to this disciple, "Here is your mother." And from then on this disciple took her into his home.
