Budget Worksheet
Budget Worksheet. Rachel Bruner

Several years ago I was at a Church meeting where we were given a copy of the Church booklet, "One for the Money: Guide to Family Finance," by Elder Marvin J. Ashton. I started to more fully implement the wise, financial counsel given in this guidebook which ended up being a huge blessing for me. I was able to get my spending under control, and over time, eliminated a lot of debt. (Also see "You Need a Budget: Software Review")

This guidebook has a simple budgeting worksheet to follow, as does the latest family finances booklet from the Church called, "All Is Safely Gathered In". I quickly found that using this worksheet was very helpful, but was easier to use on my computer. The Church has a Family Budget Worksheet that can be downloaded from ProvidentLiving.org but it only has one worksheet per page. I've created a few downloadable Budget Worksheets with two or three per page, as well as an Excel spreadsheet for those who'd like to use the form directly on their computer.

Along with these wonderful booklets the Church has other great financial resources that can be found at ProvidentLiving.org, including the Online Financial Course: Peace in Your Hearts and financial calculators.

Don't miss this excellent Debt-Elimination Calendar to more quickly pay off or eliminate debt- it helped my family pay off $1000's in debt, or read this review of You Need a Budget to learn how to budget to get out of debt. Also visit the Family Life Category for additional resources.
