California Baptist University Description:

California Baptist University is a private, four-year university affiliated with the Southern Baptist Church. It is the only Southern Baptist university on the West Coast. CBU's 128-acre campus is located in Riverside, California, about 60 miles from Los Angeles. The University of California Riverside is about seven miles away. CBU offers 150 undergraduate majors and concentrations and 33 graduate majors, with 17 academic departments and schools. Academics are supported by a 19 to 1 student / faculty ratio. The university also offers a range of online courses and programs.

CBU's residential students participate in a variety of clubs, organizations, and intramural sports. On the intercollegiate front, the CBU Lancers compete in the NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference (PacWest). The Lancers have won national and regional championships in sports including wrestling, softball, and men’s and women’s swimming.
