Carissa Chesanak is a journalist and copywriter based out of New York. She has written for several notable publications, including Forbes, BroadwayWorld, the Miami New Times, and Food Network, where she has covered everything from literature to food to entertainment and more.

Chesanak also serves as a non-fiction reader for Guernica magazine and is a member of the Prison Writing Committee with PEN America.


Chesanak received an MFA in Creative Writing from the New School, as well as a master's degree in journalism from Regent University.
