Carlesa Williams is an active USA Roller Sports (USARS) and Roller Skating Association (RSA) certified competitive coach, judge and referee who has represented USA Roller Sports media at many international events.
Carlesa started sidewalk roller skating as a little girl and has enjoyed a combination of recreational outdoor quad and inline skating. Her competitive experiences include rhythm, roller figure and ice synchronized skating with local, regional and invitational placements. She was a Team USA member in the Large Show Team event at the 2003 World Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In addition to duties as your Inline Skating Guide, Carlesa is an active group class instructor and coach for private lessons in Southeastern Michigan at Rollerama Family Skating Center in Brighton, Bonaventure Family Skating Center in Farmington Hills, and Rollers Skate Park in Belleville. Her students have qualified for USARS 2001-2017 National Championships in inline freestyle, figures, loops, singles, dance, free dance, pairs, precision team and show team events. She has produced National inline and quad medalists and has provided supplemental coaching services for senior level skaters. Two of her skaters have qualified for the FIRS, now World Skate, Credits include one National Coach of the Year Award from Skater Direct, National Coach Awards for Gold Medalists, Great Lakes Regional Coaches Awards and many Michigan Rosie and Leslie Eder Awards.
Carlesa has been the USA Roller Sports media representative for articles and action photography at World Championships in the U.S., Italy, Spain, Taiwan, Germany and Australia.
Carlesa was a member of the judges panel at the Great Skate Skating Club of Roseville for seven seasons, and maintains active test and competitive judging credentials with USA Roller Sports. Other judging and teaching affiliations include Roller Skating Association, Michigan Roller Sports Coaches Association and the former International Inline Figure Skating Association.
