Carroll College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts and pre-professional college located in Helena, the capital of Montana. Missoula, Bozeman, Great Falls, and Butte are all within an hour-and-a-half drive. The city has a wide range of eateries, shops, and cultural events. Outdoor lovers will find much to do in and around Carroll -- hiking, biking, skiing, rock climbing, fly fishing, kayaking, camping, and so on. Carroll typically ranks well among colleges in the Northwest, and the school wins high marks for its value. Students at Carroll can choose from 42 majors and 8 pre-professional programs. Nursing and business are the most popular. Academics are supported by a 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Service and volunteerism are an important part of the Carroll experience. On the athletic front, the Carroll College Fighting Saints compete in the NAIA Frontier Conference.
