Colby College Admissions Overview:

Colby College has selective admissions--only a quarter of students are accepted each year. To apply, students can use the Common Application (more information on that below), and must also send in test scores from the SAT or ACT. Located in Waterville, Maine, Colby College frequently ranks among the top 20 liberal arts colleges in the country. The 714-acre campus houses attractive red-brick buildings and a 128-acre arboretum. Students have 53 majors from which to choose, and the college boasts of a 10 to 1 student faculty / ratio. The college has a chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Colby wins high marks for its environmental initiatives and for its emphasis on study abroad and internationalization. The alpine and Nordic ski teams at Colby compete in Division I. Other popular sports include football, squash, track and field, basketball, cross country.
