The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) has an acceptance rate of 49%, and admitted students tend to have grades and standardized test scores that are well above average. Students will need to send in scores from the ACT or SAT as part of the application process. Students can apply using the Common Application and must include a high school transcript and a personal statement. Letters of recommendation, while not required, are always encouraged and welcome.

The College of New Jersey is one of the top public liberal arts colleges in the country. With an undergraduate focus and liberal arts core curriculum, The College of New Jersey offers the type of student experience that usually comes with a much higher price tag. Located in Ewing, NJ, near Trenton, TCNJ gives its students easy train and bus access to Philadelphia and New York City. With seven schools and degrees in over 50 programs, TCNJ offers the educational breadth of much larger universities.

The college also wins high marks for student satisfaction, and retention and graduation rates are well above the norm. In athletics, the Lions compete in the NCAA Division III, in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
