Concordia University Saint Paul Description:

Founded in 1893, Concordia University Saint Paul is a private university grounded in the liberal arts. The university is affiliated with the Lutheran Church and is one of the ten members of the Concordia University System. About 39% of students are Lutheran, and 86% of students are from Minnesota. Concordia has a 16 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and undergraduates can choose from 49 majors. The university does well with financial aid, and 99% of students who applied for aid received some form of assistance. St. Paul (and Minneapolis) is a vibrant city, with plenty of cultural events and diversions for students to enjoy--when not in class, of course!

Concordia offers an Honors Program for students who are interested in challenging themselves; this program is finished with a capstone project, with the subject chosen by the student. Outside of this program, there is a wide range of programs and courses to choose from--everything from Art and Chemistry, to Public Policy and History. Students have the opportunity to join a number of music groups--including choral and instrumental ensembles. There are also a number of student-run organizations on campus. You can choose from religious, political, performing arts, writing, athletic, language, and community service groups.On the athletic front, the Concordia Golden Bears compete in the NCAA Division II Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
