Craig Haley

Craig hopes to deliver the finer points of coaching youth sports, from motivating, organizing, strategizing and delivering lessons in the game of life. His writing style focuses on the people involved as much as the sports themselves, telling the story behind the story in an easy-to-follow format.

Experience

Craig Haley has been a sportswriter since 1987, covering a wide range of sports both locally in his native Trenton, New Jersey, and nationally, from the recreation level to high school to college to professional sports.

Craig spent 22 years as a sportswriter and editor at The Times newspaper of Trenton, New Jersey. He has served as the managing editor of PlaySportsTV.com, a leading broadband channel of youth sports coaching instruction, and as the executive director of the Football Championship Subdivision coverage for the SportsNetwork.com wire service. His syndicated writing has been published across the nation and in a number of magazines, including Athlon Sports, Lindy's Sports and The Ring. He has coached youth baseball, basketball, softball and softball on recreation and all-star levels.

Education

After knowing at a young age that he wanted to be a sportswriter, Craig earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and professional writing from The College of New Jersey, formerly Trenton State College.
