California State University, Dominguez Hills is a public university located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. Established in 1960, the university sits on Rancho San Pedro, the oldest land grant in Los Angeles. Total enrollment is roughly 14,000 students. CSU Dominguez Hills’ athletics teams are known as the Toros, and the school colors are red and gold.

CSUDH offers 107 Bachelor’s and 45 different Master’s degree programs within its six colleges: College of Arts and Humanities, College of Business Administration and Public Policy, College of Education, College of Extended and International Education, College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences, and the College of Professional Studies.

Stubhub Center at CSUDH

Opened in 2003, the Stubhub Center is a 27,000-seat multi-purpose sports complex. Until 2013, the stadium was known as the Home Depot Center. It is home to the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA of Major League Soccer. In addition to the soccer stadium, the Stubhub Center is home to an 8,000-seat tennis stadium, an outdoor track and field facility, and a 2,450-seat velodrome.

LaCorte Hall is home to the following departments: Africana Studies, Anthropology, Art & Design, Asian Pacific Studies, Chicano Studies, Dance, Digital Media Arts, English, History, Humanities, Modern Languages, and Philosophy. The building was named in honor of John LaCorte, Professor of Philosophy from 1972-2002.

Leo F. Cain Library at CSUDH

Opened in 1970, the Leo F. Cain Library is Cal State Dominguez Hills’ primary undergraduate library. The four-story building is home to many special collections, including an extensive collection on Japanese Americans during World War II and the South Bay Photo Collection, which includes photographs from 1880-1967.

Cain Education Center at CSUDH

The Leo F. Cain Education Center is a five-story library addition to the Cain Library. Built in 2010, the building is composed primarily of metal and glass, winning an award in Outstanding Architectural Design. The Center features reading rooms, study centers, archival storage and research areas, computer labs, and a multi-cultural art gallery.

The Donald and Katherine Loker Student Union opened its doors in 2007. Located in the heart of campus, Loker Student Union acts as the hub for student activity at CSUDH. A majority of student services are based out of Loker, including Toro Productions, the student programming board, and the Multicultural Center. The Torozone Gameroom features billiard tables, board games, air hockey tables, as well as Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 game consoles.

The food court inside Loker Student Union features Jamba Juice, Dragon Express, Subway, Taco Bell, Johnnie’s Pizza, and Tully’s Coffee. The food court is open to students every day except Sunday.

Welch Hall is a four-story multi-purpose facility located on the northwest edge of campus. The ground floor is home to Office of Financial Aid and Admissions, the Office of Advisement, and Disabled and Veteran Services. The 2nd floor is home to the School of Nursing, which offers Bachelors and Masters degree programs in Nursing.

The 485-seat theater hosts lectures, cultural programs, as well as the Theatre and Music Departments’ concerts and productions throughout the year.

College of Business Administration and Public Policy at CSUDH

Established in 1973, the College of Business Administration and Public Policy is home to nearly 18% of the university’s student body. The college offers undergraduate degree programs in the following: Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice Administration, Political Science, Economics, and Applied Studies. The school also offers a Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Administration, as well as online MBA and MPA programs.

The College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences offers degree programs in Anthropology, Behavioral Science, Biology, Computer Science, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Earth Science, Mathematics, Political Science, Physics, Psychology, Pre-Health Professions, and Sociology. NBS also offers an assortment of research opportunities at CSUDH as well as the Los Angeles Biomedical Institute and the Drew College of Medical Science.

Pueblo Dominguez at CSUDH

Pueblo Dominguez is an on-campus apartment complex consisting of 22 separate two-story buildings and two common buildings. The apartments vary between double and quadruple suites with two students per room. All apartments are fully furnished and feature a full kitchen and bathroom.

Across from the Leo F. Cain Education Center, the Toro Gymnasium or Torodome, is home to CSUDH men and women’s basketball and volleyball. The 28,000 sq. ft. structure features four full basketball courts and four full volleyball courts with a capacity of 3,602.

The College of Extended and International Education is a self-supporting college open to the public that is located outside CSUDH’s main campus. The college offers degree programs in Business, Communications, Computer/Technology, Education, Green Energy and Sustainability, Healthcare, Humanities, Nonprofit Management, and Sports & Recreation, as well as an ESL program for International students.
