Elkins, a town of about 8,000, has a strong arts and music presence, with several music festivals throughout the year.Also called D&E, the college was founded in 1904 and is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. The small college supports its roughly 800 students with a healthy student/faculty ratio of 12 to 1. D&E offers a variety of bachelor’s, associates, and pre-professional programs across a host of academic subjects. These subjects include Accounting, Education, English, Nursing, and Criminology.
