Isomerization Process Definition

In the production of gasoline, the isomerization process is a protocol by which straight chain hydrocarbons are converted into branched chain hydrocarbons.

Isomerization Examples:

Isomerization of pentane to 2-methylbutane and 2,2-dimethylpropane
