S. Encarnacion, licensed to About.com, Inc. This beach hunk character is the same as a hero's build, but I am putting him into swimshorts to show how to draw his physique. Add a cape and some tights and you have a superhero. You could turn him into Superman or even Spiderman. This guy has a few characteristics in common with the tough guy character. He has a big chest, big shoulders, and big hands. He also has a little waist. When filling out to his arms, pay careful attention to the curves. Those make his shape and muscles. You want your cartoon hero to look handsome, not lumpy! 02 of 05 Draw a Cartoon Hero Body - Draw the Legs S. Encarnacion, licensed to About.com, Inc. Draw the cartoon hero's legs, again being careful to get the correct smoothly curving shape. These curved lines are what makes him seem strong and powerful. The wide stance also looks heroic and helps to balance his shoulders. Then complete the body, adding simple curved lines to make the details of his neck, chest, and abdominals. 03 of 05 Draw a Cartoon Hero - Details and Face S. Encarnacion, licensed to About.com, Inc. The muscular cartoon superhero body is almost complete. More detail lines are drawn to give hi legs some definition, and his shorts some wrinkles. Notice the fists are made of simple lines going over the hand circles. To begin his face, put his eyes in the middle of his face, a line half the way further down for his nose, and his mouth below that. We're leaving enough room for his chin to be strong and square. Heroic, even! 04 of 05 Cartoon Hero - Finishing the Character S. Encarnacion, licensed to About.com, Inc. Complete the hero character's face by adding simple lines for his eyelids, eyebrows, dimple, and lower lip. His hair is just pointed lines. Notice all the points are pointing in the same direction (to the right).Adding some thickness to the detail lines help to make them more defined. 05 of 05 Cartoon Hero in Color - The Finished Superhero S. Encarnacion, licensed to About.com, Inc. The cartoon hero or superhero character is almost complete. As always, I like to thicken the outline of the character and add some color. Now we have our Handsome Hunk Hero! Continue Reading
