Eastern Mennonite University Description:

A small faith-based University of the Anabaptist Mennonite perspective, Eastern Mennonite University is located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with a satellite campus in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Outdoor lovers will appreciate the main campus's location along the Blue Ridge Parkway with biking, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and skiing opportunities all nearby. Eastern Mennonite has an average student to faculty ratio of 13 to 1 which allows for students to have small class sizes and easy access to their professors.

Eastern Mennonite advertises that they wish for their students not only to learn from their faith’s perspective, but also to think cross-culturally. For this reason, the college encourages its students to study abroad while they attend the university. EMU students do well after graduation, and the university boasts a 98% employment placement rate of their students within a year of their graduation.

Student life is active with a range of clubs and performance groups. On the athletic front, the EMU Royals compete in the NCAA Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The college fields seven men's and eight women's intercollegiate sports.
