Edinboro University of Pennsylvania is a public, four-year institution in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1857, the school earned its "University" status (offering graduate degrees) in 1983. The university offers over 100 degree programs and 57 minors across a wide range of academic departments. High-achieving students should also check out the Honors Program. Academics at Edinboro are supported by a student / faculty ratio of 18 to 1. There is plenty to do on the 585-acre campus including more than 200 student clubs and organizations, more than 30 intramural sports, and 17 fraternities and sororities.

Students can also spend time on the school's 5-acre lake. Some of the clubs include Fencing Club, Edinboro Gaming Guild, and Edinboro University Martial Arts Club. The campus is also home to its own climbing gym, open pool, and the Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Center. When it comes to intercollegiate athletic competition, the Edinboro Fighting Scots compete in the NCAA Division II Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) for 17 sports.
