'Family Guy' Cast

The Family Guy cast includes veteran actors who bring their comedic abilities to the voices of their characters. Unusually, the creator, Seth MacFarlane, provides voices for more than one character. Here is the Family Guy cast list to help you find out who does what voice.

Seth MacFarlane

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane mainly plays three different characters: Peter Griffin, Stewie Griffin and the talking dog Brian. Cartoon creators sometimes play characters in their own cartoons, but MacFarlane is unusual in that all three are main characters, and all three sing frequently. Plus, Peter, Stewie and Brian sound very different from each other, another remarkable talent for an animator. In 2000, he won an Emmy award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his performance as Stewie Griffin.

Alex Borstein

Talented and hilarious actress Alex Borstein plays Peter's wife, Lois Griffin. She also plays Lois's mother Barbara Pewterschmidt. She was part of the cast of Good Night, and Good Luck, which was nominated for a Screen Actor's Guild award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture in 2006. She has appeared in most of Seth MacFarlane's projects, including Ted and The Cleveland Show. She has had guest appearances on Getting On, Shameless, Robot Chicken, Bunheads and Workaholics. Alex Borstein is most famous as the annoying character Bunny Swan on MADtv.

Seth Green

Actor Seth Green plays Chris Griffin, the eldest son of the family. Seth Green has appeared in dozens of TV shows and movies, including the Austin Powers films and Buffy the Vampire Slayer on TV. He starred in Seth MacFarlane's sitcom Dads. He has voiced characters for Mars Needs MomsMAD, ,  and . In 2014, Seth Green joined the cast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Leonardo.

He has become a TV mogul in his own right, because he co-created and executive produces , an Emmy-winning cartoon, with Matthew Senreich.

Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis plays the Griffin's daughter, Meg, on Family Guy. Like Seth Green, she's famous for roles she has played in TV shows, like . Her movie career has taken off. She has starred in Mike Judge's ExtractOz the Great and PowerfulTed and Jupiter Ascending. Her most prestigious role was Lily, the understudy ballerina, in Black Swan, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture.

Mike Henry

Mike Henry's career has flourished thanks to his work with Seth MacFarlane. His first role was Cleveland Brown on Family Guy. Then Seth MacFarlane created a spin-off cartoon with Cleveland at the center, titled, natch, The Cleveland Show, where Mike Henry also played Rallo Tubbs and is executive producer. In addition, Mike Henry plays Jackson, Stan Smith's co-worker, on Seth MacFarlane's third cartoon, American Dad.

Patrick Warburton is a hard-working actor. He's appeared on a long list of TV shows, beginning with his break-through role as David Puddy on Seinfeld. After Seinfeld, he starred as Johnny Johnson on NewsRadio, Kronk in The Emperor's New Groove, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, The Tick, Men in Black II, Hoodwinked as the Wolf, Ken in Bee Movie and countless other guest starring roles in live action and animated TV shows. Now he stars as Peter's neighbor, Joe Swanson, on Family Guy, Brock Samson on and Jeff on . Surprisingly, he's never won an Emmy award, let alone been nominated.

Jennifer Tilly

Gorgeous Jennifer Tilly has lent her breathy voice and comedic talent to many cartoon characters. She plays Bonnie Swanson on Family Guy, but she has also played Grace in Home on the Range and Celia in Monsters, Inc.. She has had guest appearances on several live-action TV shows, including Modern Family, Drop Dead Diva and Frasier. She has also starred in many live action films, most notably Bound, Liar, Liar, Bride of Chucky and Bullets Over Broadway, for which she was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Adam West

Adam West has made a career out of tongue-in-cheek voice-over performances, riffing on his persona as the titular superhero from the kitschy Batman TV series in the '60s. On Family Guy he plays, yes, Mayor Adam West. He has also played Adam West on The Fairly OddParents, Johnny Bravo, The Simpsons, and The Critic. He also parodied his role as Batman when he played the young Mermaid Man on SpongeBob SquarePants. Video game fans will get a kick out of playing LEGO Batman 3 and saving LEGO Adam West from peril.

Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher is incredibly famous throughout the world, for her legendary role as Princess Leia in Star Wars franchise. But she has done so much more with her career since then, becoming a best-selling author and a sought-after screenwriter. On Family Guy, she plays Peter Griffin's boss Angela. She occasionally appears in live action TV shows and films, including Entourage, 30 Rock, Weeds, Smallville, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, When Harry Met Sally and even as Princess Leia on . Her untimely death of a heart attack on Dec 27, 2016, was mourned the world over. Princess Leia has become a symbol of strength for many women.
