This small liberal arts college offers 42 majors and 37 minors. Academics are supported by a healthy 11 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and an impressive 40% of graduates go straight on to graduate school. The college has ties to the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and "faith," broadly defined, is a big part of the campus identity. Student life at Georgetown is active, and the college is home to four national fraternities and four national sororities. In September, students participate in "Grubfest" -- an unusual tradition that includes slime, mud, Jello, and a range of food products. On the athletic front, the Georgetown College Tigers compete in the NAIA Mid-South Conference. The college fields eight men's and nine men's intercollegiate sports.
