Data courtesy of Cappex. Discussion of Georgian Court University's Admissions Standards: Roughly a quarter of all applicants to Georgian Court University will receive a rejection letter. The majority of successful applicants will have grades and standardized test scores that are average or better. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who were admitted. Successful applicants typically had SAT scores (RW+M) of 900 or higher, an ACT composite of 17 or higher, and a high school average in the "B" range or better. Grades matter much more than standardized test scores because the university has test-optional admissions. You can see a couple red dots (rejected students) in the middle of the graph, as well some admitted students who had grades and/or test scores below the norm. This is because GCU has holistic admissions and makes decisions based on more than numerical data. Applicants must submit letters of recommendation, and all applicants have the option of submitting an application essay and a resume of accomplishments and extracurricular activities. Georgian Court will also consider the rigor of your high school courses, not just your grades. Note that nursing students will need to have higher SAT or ACT scores than other applicants, and Dance applicants will need to audition.
