The 155-acre campus is located in Poultney, a quaint New England village in Southern Vermont. Green Mountain College is a member of the Eco League with four other small colleges that focus on sustainability: Alaska Pacific University, College of the Atlantic, Northland College, and Prescott College. Students can easily take a semester or two at one of these other schools. Students can choose from 22 majors and 27 minors, and Green Mountain College's curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning. Academics are supported by a 14 to 1 student / faculty ratio. In athletics, the Green Mountain Eagles compete in the NCAA Division III North Atlantic Conference.
