Harris-Stowe State University Description: Founded in 1857, Harris-Stowe State University is a four-year, public historically Black university located in Saint Louis, Missouri. HSSU has a student body of about 1,400 and a student/faculty ratio of 13 to 1. The university offers 14 Bachelor of Science degree programs across the College of Education, College of Arts and Sciences, and Anheuser-Busch School of Business.
