Experience

Ilan Greenberg is a former writer on Southeast Asia history for ThoughtCo. He is the publisher and editorial director of Coda Media, based in New York and Tbilisi, Georgia. He has reported in dozens of countries and written for publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, Vanity Fair, US News & World Report, Slate, and others. He has been a writer-in-residence at the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center at Duke University and a visiting public policy scholar in the national security program at The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, in Washington, D.C. Currently based in New York, he was an Adjunct Journalism Fellow at The Asia Society and has been the recipient of a Knight International Journalism Fellowship and the 2008 Lange-Taylor Prize.
