Experiments with literary hypertext lead Jackie Craven to explore the possibilities of digital media for teaching and learning. In 2000, the New York Times said she had become "one of the Internet's reigning authorities on buildings and architecture, a resource for people who want to know about plumbing, Frank Gehry or the Taj Mahal."

Her Bachelor's in English was earned in her home state at Virginia Commonwealth University. A Note From Jackie

"I love writing about architecture and the visual arts, and especially enjoy exploring the ideas that shape the world we build. An article about surrealist design might lead me to the work of Sigmund Freud and the poems of Pablo Neruda. It's exciting to discover connections, and poetry is often a part of the adventure.
