James Alder is a former writer for ThoughtCo who contributed articles about the game of American football for 12 years. James is an expert on the game. James wrote YaKnow? Pro Football: Trivia Gamebook (PockitBook Publishing, Inc., 2005) which contains football history and trivia about the game. He was the expert consultant for Michael Sandler's Troy Polamalu–Football Heroes Making a Difference (Bearport Pub Co., 2011) and Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers: Super Bowl XLV (Bearport Pub Co., 2011).
