James Fleming

Hello, I'm James Fleming, the guide for About.com's Comic Books site. I'm here to provide you with information, insight, updates and information about the world of comics!

Comic books have been among my passions since I was three years-old.  I've spent more than 32 years reading, studying, collecting and even teaching comic books.  I first started reading Batman and X-Men comics in 1982 and my interests have only expanded.  I absolutely love the wide-world of comics and the variety of different art forms and stories they offer.  I've also written, extensively, about comics for both magazines and academic publications.  Part of my graduate study in English focused on comics and I have taught several college classes on comics.
