Experience

Jennifer Kendall is a former writer for ThoughtCo. Here, her primary focus was reviewing selections of young adult literature. She also wrote writing guides about English, grammar, and storytelling. Kendall also she writes book reviews for her local newspaper.

For more than 20 years, Kendall worked with young people from many different backgrounds. She created educational packets for homebound teen moms, taught English at an alternative high school, and tutored at-risk teens in reading. 

In her work as a full-time youth librarian, Kendall organizes teen library programs, performs reader advisory services, and teaches local school groups on how to navigate the library catalog. Kendal formed the library’s first Teen Advisory Group (TAG) and provides leadership opportunities for local teens. She encourages teen programs through her community and helps to make selections for the Young Adult collection of the library.

Education

Kendall earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and Reading from the University of Utah.
