Jet Li Movies

Jet Li movies are all about martial arts action sequences, and we're not talking about neophyte stuff here. You see, Li is a true wushu champion, not just a guy that learned how to kick and punch for the big screen. So if you're into legitimate kung fu action movies with a stone cold Hollywood star leading the way, the following popular Jet Li movies are probably for you.

Li was being made into a super soldier but escaped. Unfortunately, as things go, they don't tend to let such people get away for long, especially those that wear a black mask and become a superhero of sorts.
Jet Li plays an intelligence agent that helps a thief by the name of Fait to rescue his daughter. This unlikely duo work well together in a movie that has more action than you can shake a stick at. Along the way, they even find a wartime weapon.
The Enforcer is a popular movie name, one that has seen a surplus of famous actors and storylines. But when you're talking about Li's version of the flick, it's all about action and fight sequences.

Li plays Chinese folk hero Huo Yuanjia in this flick about a martial arts master that learns from his mistakes and helps his people to fight encroaching western forces. In other words, there are some significant fight scenes.  Another amazing action movie starring a man known for them.

This remake of Bruce Lee's The Chinese Connection has Li starring as Chen Zhen, a man that returns to Shanghai for revenge. Let's put it this way, would you want to take on Li in a movie where he's looking for the person that poisoned his master?  He does Lee justice in this one, and that's a tall order when you consider the company.

In reality, this is a children's movie. Still, anytime a movie stars Jackie Chan and Jet Li, it's worth taking notice of.

Jet Li plays the bad guy against Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in his U.S. debut. Let's put it this way, Gibson needs some help against Li's fluid martial arts in order to keep himself alive. A great movie in a great series.

Li plays the legendary folk hero Wong Fei Hong in this flick about the encroaching west. Wong is asked to protect the town by creating his own group of kung fu experts. But the west isn't the only problem that he and his group encounters. Lots of action in this one.

In The One, Jet Li plays Gabriel Yulaw, a police officer that must battle himself in a parallel universe. With his evil duplicate intent on destroying him, Gabriel must come to terms with the evil within himself.
Li plays an imprisoned cop named Han that seeks revenge for the gang-related death of his brother. Along the way, he ends up beating up two gangs vying for control of the city's waterfront. The action in this one was as good as it gets.
Anytime Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh get to together to take on the bad guys, you have to be pleased. This one was directed by Yuen Woo-Ping during Li's athletic and martial arts prime, making it a masterpiece of movement.
