Located on an attractive 668-acre campus in the town of Manhattan, Kansas, Kansas State University has numerous strengths in athletics and academics. Students come from all 50 states and over 100 countries. The university takes pride in its high number of Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, Goldwater, and Udall scholars. A second campus in Salina is home of the School of Technology and Aviation. With over 250 undergraduate majors and options, students can choose from an impressive breadth of academic programs. Academics are supported by a 19 to 1 student / faculty ratio. In athletics, the Kansas State Wildcats compete in the NCAA Division I Big 12 Conference. The university fields 16 men's and women's teams. Popular sports include football, basketball, track and field, volleyball, and baseball.
