Kelly authored a test-prep book, "Ace the ACT: Smart Strategies to a Higher Score," published in 2012 by the Research and Education Association, Inc. and updated it in 2016 to include the enhanced ACT writing test. The updated book was titled "ACT Strategy Smart: Ace the ACT." She has also written test-taking tips and articles for kindergarten through sixth-grade students on Scholastic.com. Currently, she also writes for Blue Ocean Brain, a company specializing in customizable microlearning for business.
