Discussion of Kentucky Wesleyan College's Admissions Standards:

The admissions bar for Kentucky Wesleyan College is not painfully high, and roughly two-thirds of all applicants will get in. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who won admission. Most had SAT scores of 950 or higher, an ACT composite of 18 or higher, and a high school average of a "B-" or better. Grades and test scores a little above these lower ranges will improve your chances, and a large number of admitted students had grades of "B+" or higher.

Note that there are a couple red dots (rejected students) and yellow dots (waitlisted students) mixed in with the green and blue on the left side of the graph. A few students with grades and test scores that seemed to be on target for Kentucky Wesleyan College did not get get in. Note also that a few students were accepted with test scores and grades a bit below the norm. This is because Kentucky Wesleyan College has an admissions process that is partly holistic and makes decisions based on more than numbers. The application asks about your extracurricular activities (including school, church and community activities), and like most colleges, Kentucky Wesleyan looks at the rigor of your high school courses, not just your grades.
