Kerry Kubilius contributed articles for more than 10 years, and is a genuine Slavophile. She lives and breathes Eastern Europe. Her expertise comes from Lithuanian ancestry, several academic degrees with an Eastern European focus, extended visits to Eastern Europe, and personal and professional research into Eastern European history, culture, current events, language, and travel. Kerry Kubilius has a bachelor's degree with a double major in Russian, focus on literature, and history of art, focus on Eastern Europe, from Ohio State University. She has a master's degree in journalism from the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. She also has a degree in Lithuanian and a master's in political science, Russian and Eastern European studies, from Vilnius University in Lithuania. She participated in a language and culture immersion program at Tomsk State University in Siberia.
