Experience

After living in a few places around the world and around the country, Kristin moved to the Seattle-Tacoma area in 1997 and has never looked back. She loves the eclectic diversity of the Pacific Northwest and its wide array of things to do and see, from quiet nature trails to catching touring shows in Seattle.

She decided to pursue writing professionally and started the adventure by choosing a writing focus during her time at Pacific Lutheran University. After graduating, she worked for a local book publisher as a copy editor before branching into writing about all the things she loves to do in the Northwest.

Kristin has also written for South Sound Magazine, SouthSoundTalk, and other local publications.

Education

Kristin graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma with a Bachelor of Arts in English/Writing and minor in publishing and printing arts.

Kristin won a first place award from the Society of Professional Journalists in the Arts and Entertainment Reporting category for a piece she wrote for South Sound Magazine about Tacoma's ghost signs.

She also writes or has written for SouthSoundTalk, South Sound Magazine, Weekly Volcano, Northwest Military, and family travel website Travel with Monsters.
