Prospective students need to submit scores from either the SAT or ACT, an application, a personal essay, letters of recommendation, and a resume of extracurricular activities. Founded in 1851, it is one of the older institutions of higher learning in the Boston area. The 50-acre suburban campus is just eight miles west of Boston and a short train ride from many of the city’s famous sights and attractions. The university has a student faculty ratio of 13 to 1, and 100% of classes have fewer than 30 students. Lasell offers more than 40 undergraduate majors, the most popular including fashion and retail merchandising, communication, sport management and fashion design and production.
