With about 850 students and a student-faculty ratio of 15 to 1, Lees-McRae provides students with an intimate learning environment. The college is proud of its Outdoor Programs Department and the miles of running, biking, and hiking trails on their tobacco-free, 460 acre campus. The college also has over 26 student organizations including intramural sports, fraternities and sororities, and clubs like Beekeeping and Quidditch. Lees-McRae is a member of the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas, but their cycling team is Division I including five national championships.
