The majority of students hail from Idaho, but 30 countries and 30 states are represented in the student body. The college was established in 1893 as a teacher training school, and today Lewis-Clark has primary foci in business, nursing, criminal justice, social work, teacher education, and professional-technical education. The college awards bachelor's and associate's degrees, and academics are supported by an 18 to 1 student/faculty ratio. Outside of the classroom, students can choose from dozens of clubs, organizations, and activities. On the athletic front, the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors and Lady Warriors compete in the NAIA Frontier Conference. The college fields five men's and six women's intercollegiate sports.
