Experience

Lucy Gray is a is a former writer for ThoughtCo and an education consultant who has 28 years of practice in the field of education. She wrote content targeted to using technology in education for ThoughtCo for more than one year. Lucy began working as an educational consultant in 2010 and works with public and private organizations to improve training and education.

Lucy's experience includes teaching in elementary and middle school settings. She was a technology specialist with the University of Chicago for more than 10 years. Lucy was also a project director for the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), encouraging the use of mobile learning. She co-founded the Global Education Conference Network, a nonprofit promoting a worldwide perspective in lesson plans and teaching. 

Lucy holds professional membership in the Global Education Conference Network Leadership Team and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). She is also involved in the Project Tomorrow, Speak-Up advisory council, promoting technology on the community level. Lucy holds designations as an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) and as a Google Certified Teacher. 

Education

Lucy Gray received a Masters in Educational Technology from National-Louis University in 2002. She also holds a Bachelor Arts (B.A.) in History and Elementary Education from Beloit College and a designation as a Google Certified Educator.
