Maia Nikitina is a native Russian speaker and a Russian language translator and interpreter with more than ten years of experience. Her translation projects have included medical research, pharmaceutical documentation, and creative translation.
In addition, Maia is an accomplished fiction writer. She is a regular contributor to Bookmunch and the Creative Writing Editor at aAh! Magazine. Her short stories have appeared in Necessary Fiction, The Crazy Oik, and Manzano Mountain Review. She received a high commendation from the Manchester Fiction Prize in 2017.
Maia Nikitina holds a Diploma in Translation (IoLet Level 7, Russian) from the Chartered Institute of Linguists. She received a Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University, and completed her Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2019.
