Manhattan College Description

Manhattan College is a private Catholic institution located in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx, about 10 miles from Midtown, Manhattan. The college's most popular undergraduate programs tend to be pre-professional in nature (business, education, engineering, communications), but the school's strengths in the liberal arts and sciences earned it a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Academics are supported by a strong 13 to 1 student/faculty ratio. The college has primarily an undergraduate focus, although it does have master degree programs in education and engineering. In athletics, the Manhattan College Jaspers compete in the NCAA Division I Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Popular sports include baseball, softball, swimming, soccer, basketball, cross country, and track and field.
