Matt "Quick Draw" Sherman, author of several nonfiction books including the book and DVD of Picture Yourself Shooting Pool, has appeared dozens of times in print and on television promoting pool and entertainment and teaches all levels of billiards students from beginner to pro. Experience

Quick Draw has taught hundreds pool's fundamentals and advanced techniques, performed shows with the world's finest trick shot artists including Mike Massey and Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman, and has directed pool leagues, tournaments, charity events and adult education classes. He is a "pool physician," curing student faults in moments, and he helps develops new billiards equipment. He offers free pool help online at About.com and travels widely to give group seminars and private pool lessons.

Sherman, on the instructional staff for InsidePool Magazine, the billiards publication with the largest circulation, has covered pro events ringside and written three yearlong series, The Year of Pro Secrets, The 8-Ball Debates and Get In Shape. As an entertainer and emcee, Sherman has brought pool to CIA intelligence officers, movie actors, jazz singers and rock guitarists. He has appeared on NBC, ABC, CBS, Discovery, HGTV, VH-1, TNN, C-SPAN, and on radio, and has been quoted in the L.A. Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Las Vegas Sun, New Orleans Times-Picayune, Parade Magazine, Time and Time Europe.

Sherman formerly directed the University of Florida's pool competition in Gainesville, Florida, with its proud history of producing six national ACUI champions. His current roster of students includes players of all skill levels from beginner to pro and top finishers in a variety of regional and national events. Education

Sherman works with some of the finest pool teachers in the world, including Donny Lutz, who holds 50-plus years of experience and has won 200 pool league and tournament titles including 42 league MVP awards. Lutz has been named to Pool & Billiard Magazine's The Top 20 Pool Instructors. Sherman and Lutz have paired to win five doubles titles and frequently pair to develop training methods and to help review and reform pool rooms.

Other frequent collaborators with Sherman include playing pro and top teacher Dominic Esposito, also named to The Top 20 Pool Instructors, pool pro and Guinness World Records holder Jason "The Michigan Kid" Lynch and world-traveling pros and ambassadors of pool Steve Lillis and Tommy Kennedy.
