Melanie Barton Zoltan is a former writer for ThoughtCo. Zoltan has worked as an editor and a writer for SABIS Educational Systems--where she wrote numerous books on historical fiction, companion workbooks, and edited anthologies of literature. She is the author of two books, Hannibal and A Kid's Guide to Publishing (now out of print). Zoltan has worked in higher education at Kent State University, Carnegie Mellon University, the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Harvard Law School. She has taught at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Nichols College and Bay Path College. A book reviewer, she is a member of the National Book Critics Circle and the American Historical Association.
