I took my first non-traditional education course when I was 11 and enrolled in "Mathemagic" courses on Saturday mornings, and have been hooked ever since. While I completed a traditional education through graduate school and have made a career of teaching and administrative work at the college level for the past 17 years, I've also pursued a variety of continuing education courses as a student, from learning German at Harvard's Extension School to taking online Java programming courses at Northeastern to everything you can imagine in between. I've taught teen writers in a community-based continuing education program and have explained how to use a computer to 60-year-olds returning to college. Whether you're working on Adult Basic Education courses to enter pre-GED classes or prepping for the GREs to power in to grad school, adult and continuing education provides a fresh start with every profile, every story.
